Fossick is THE NEW accommodation review site for Australia and New Zealand. Founded by locals for locals. We want to help Aussies and Kiwi's find great local accommodation, maybe YOURS, by letting them see reviews from your previous guests.
We are completely independent and act only as a specialist review site.
Fossick is not an online travel agency or a true accommodation distribution platform, as we don’t sell any accommodation. Think travel planning or research.
Fossick simply facilitates a space where users can add and share reviews about places they’ve stayed before. Subsequently new customers can use those reviews and other site features to help them select accommodation.

Can I trust your ratings.
Fossick is independent and unbiased.
We don't have ties to any particular chain or booking engine, therefore we have no inherent bias towards selling some operators over others. We simply report consumer feedback.
Quality and quantity count.
Our ratings are based off, both the quality and quantity of reviews you have. Which means you can't get the best rating off a couple of good reviews. The more reviews you have the greater the accuracy and the higher the rating can be.
You have right of reply.
By claiming your Fossick listing, to which there is no cost, you can respond to any issues raised in the feedback. Showing future customers your proactive approach.
We're local
Fossick is created by and designed for locals in Australia and New Zealand. Which means we understand the issues and idosyncries of accommodation in this neck of the woods and can respond to your feedback and input.
Fossick has strict review guidelines and policies.
If you spot a review that doesn't conform or you think is fraudulent and really truly, isn't a grain of truth in it, then you can flag it as 'abuse' and we will relook at it.
Fossick works with you to get "verified guests " to leave reviews.
One of our paid services is 'Fossick Feedback', an email system that enables you to send thank you notes to your guests and ask them to leave a review. Of course your welcome to do this yourself, we just want to make it easy. We stamp these reviews with a "guaranteed stay" label and they're given more weight than freely left reviews.
What about review fraud.
We believe that the closer a customer expectations are to the actual experience, the better the experience and the more positive reviews you will generate. Although public reviews can be manipulated to a certain extent, this is a very short term strategy. If a future customers read great reviews about you or a competitor, that prove inaccurate, they will be highly motivated to correct them. An honest, consistent approach will win out in the long term.
