1. To enter the competition you must write a review, or share a unique competition link that is then used to write a review on Fossick.com
2. To enter you must be over 18 and resident in Australia or New Zealand.
3. There is 1 prize. You can either win the cost of your accommodation back to a maximum value of NZD $2000 through staying at a hotel, motel, B&B or backpackers and writing a review posted on www.fossick.com. Alternatively an accommodation voucher to the value of $250 can be won by sharing the link and through sharing causing a bone-fide review to be posted on Fossick.com The competition starts on midnight Tuesday 8 November 2011 and ends midnight Monday 2 April 2012.
4. A prize will be drawn on Monday 9 April 2012.
5. Only reviews received during this time will be eligible for the draw.
6. If you share the competition, with a friend via Twitter, Facebook or by email, and the friend enters via the competition url, you will receive an entry or an additional entry into the competition draw. Every review associated with your competition link is considered an additional entry.
7. The unique competition URL can be accessed from this page, or on-screen after writing a review.
8. The unique competition URL is tracked via cookies. Fossick accepts no responsibility for lost entries if cookies are disabled or deleted.
9. The “Win your accommodation costs back” prize is is the monetary value of the cost of the accommodation at the property for which the entrant wrote a review. To claim the prize the reviewer must provide a receipt of their stay for the dates represented in the review. The maximum value of the prize awarded is NZD $2000. Monetary value represents the actual cost paid for the room only and does not include additional costs such as mini-bar, movies, damage, activities and services, food and beverage costs or additional meals.
10. The accommodation costs prize will be awarded in cash. The prize winner will be offered the opportunity to give the prize away to a charitable cause - such as paying accommodation costs for a holiday for a Christchurch resident affected by the earthquake. Fossick will work with the winner to make this arrangement possible. The $250 accommodation voucher, will be awarded as a voucher.
11. Every accepted review entered onto fossick.com is considered an automatic entry. However there are some cases where reviews may not be accepted. Fossick reserves the right to decline a review at any time and without having to state a reason. By accepting the prize, the winner irrevocably grants Fossick permission to use his or her name, biographical and site-related information for advertising, promotional or publicity purposes.
12. If Fossick has suspicions or knowledge that any entrant/nominated person has been involved in any fraudulent or illegal activity, Fossick reserves the right to disqualify that entrant and any related entrants.
13. Fossick may also disqualify any entrant that does not act in accordance with these terms and conditions, Fossick’s Terms of use and/or Fossick’s review guidelines.
In the event of circumstances arising, which in Fossick’s opinion make it necessary to suspend, change or cancel the Competition, Fossick reserves the right to suspend, change or cancel the Competition at any time. This includes the ability to substitute a prize, which is, in Fossick’s reasonable opinion, of equivalent value or change the specification of the prize(s) if circumstances require it.
14. Fossick shall not be liable, in contract or tort (including negligence) or the breach of statutory duty or in any other way, for the loss or damage howsoever arising suffered by the entrant resulting directly or indirectly from entry to this Competition. Nothing in these terms shall limit Fossick’s liability for death, personal injury or fraud. Fossick does not accept, and is not responsible for, any lost or delayed entries, particularly in reference to disabled or deleted cookies. Fossick reminds entrants of the nature and limitations of the Internet and is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network, online system or computer hardware or software that may affect entry to the Promotion.
15. Although Fossick will use reasonable efforts to ensure that all information relating to the Competition ("Competition Material") is accurate, Fossick is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network, online system or computer hardware or software failure that may affect Fossick’s operation of the Promotion or the site, including without limitation the accuracy of any Promotional Material.
16. You acknowledge that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Twitter.
17. For Facebook entrants you release Facebook of any legal liability associated with the competition.

Selection of winner:

1. The winner of the Competition will be the first entry selected at random from all the valid entries on Monday 9th April 2012.
2. There is only one winner for each prize draw, the winner is entitled to their accommodation costs to a maximum value of NZD $2000 or if they did not write a review, but shared the link, then the prize is a accommodation voucher for $250 NZD.
3. The winner will be notified by email on the email address provided to Fossick when leaving a review or entered on the entry form to generate a competition URL.
4. Entrants shall be responsible for ensuring that the email address associated with the competition entry is up to date and accurate so they can be contacted if they win. If Fossick or its authorised agents are not able to contact the winner by midnight 14 days after the first attempted notification, Fossick reserves the right to select an alternative winner and the original winner's entitlement will lapse.
5. The names of the Competition winners and their review will be available on the Fossick blog after the end of the Competition Period.
6. Fossick’s decision is final in all cases and no communication will be entered into.
